SOCIAL MEDIA WEEK CALABAR

Its going to be big. It's going to be innvotive and it's going to be so much fun. For as long as I can remember calabar has been a hub for creativity, tourism and innovation and I am so pleased that the government of the state is embracing yet another sector to help shape and inspire young minds.

We all spend most of our time on social media but what we don't know is that social media is so much more than taking cute selfies and getting a bunch of likes. It's about been creative, innovative and using a platform to showcase your talents. Social media week is an event which provides a platform for bloggers, PR consultants, social media influencers and media practitioners and publishers to meet in accord to discuss and analyze the evolving trend of social media. It is also a chance for bloggers, journalists and content creators to decide what to do to take social media platforms to new heights.

Rt. Hon. Gaul Lebo, The Speaker of Cross River State  House of Assembly, said in "Governance day " that hosting such and event in calabar will be beneficial to the state at large, as it would spark up conversations which will also highlight the tourism sector of Cross River State.

This event is said to take place in April 2018. The dates aren't certain yet but I'll be giving updates on the matter because I'm looking forward to it. I can't wait to be under a roof filled with innovative minds and people who share a dream of making our world just a bit better but doing what they do best.

I look forward to meeting bloggers from all over Nigeria and sharing ideas as well as learning from the best in the business. I was so bombed I couldn't attend the one in Lagos but I'm glad it's coming to my state now. Yay!
